In Describe, subjects were asked to move around in the 3D world simulation that has been developed within Higgins. The task was to move around to move around for a while, then stop and describe the surroundings in such a manner that someone with great knowledge about the area would be able to pinpoint it.
The data will be published here, in part or in full, when work with transcription and mark-up comes to an end.
Two rounds of Describe data has been collected.
Higgins Describe 1
8 subjects in sessions of approxiamtely ten minutes. This data has been used as a foundation for the first grammar for the Pickering semantic interpreter.
Higgins Describe 2
16 subjects in sessions of somewhat more than ten minutes. This data has been used for a preliminary evaluation of the Pickering semantic interpreter.
