This talk is an overview about what I have been recently working on regarding Acoustic Gestures. Within the context of Acoustic-to-Articulatory Inversion, I have suggested a method of detecting and segmenting an utterance into a series of acoustic gestures. Further, I will speak on a 2-D cepstral representation of the same acoustic gestures. Using this time varying but length invariant representation, I have endeavored to perform Acoustic-to-Articulatory Inversion. I will briefly discuss the results of my experiments with this frame work.
