Perceiving emotions in solo singing and parameters of these signals
Jan Felcyn, Adam Mickiewicz University
Since the beginning of 90’s, emotion in music became one of the hottest research topics for psychologists, musicologists, and sound and music computing scientists. The focus of my research is on expressive a cappella solo singing, how acoustical cues are manipulated, and how people rate emotions in singing. Preliminary results are consistent with previous findings in emotional expressive music performance, including singing.
