These slides were shown on the oral presentation of the Teleface Project at Eurospeech'97.

Short explanation of testconditions:

  • 9 profoundly hearing impaired subjects.

  • Each subject has a unique hearing impairment.

  • No noise added.

  • Subjects could adjust volume on loudspeaker and their hearing aid to get the best performance possible.

  • VCV corpus: 51 nonsense words/test combination

  • Sentence corpus: 2*15 everyday sentences/test combination
