Hejsan,

I want to set the width of the y-axis of the panes of a Wsurf widget by the pixel. With y-axis I mean the left part of the panes where for instance the frequency meter is drawn.

Is there a way to configure that width by running the configure method/function/procedure of the Wsurf widget or do I have to poke the TCL code with a stick?

Cheers!

/Mickel

The width of the yaxis (default 50 pixels) can be modified if you edit the configuration files manually, for example by adding the following line in appropriate places:

$pane configure -yaxiswidth 100

Isn't there are way to ask the Wsurf widget to configure the panes for you? I am looking for a way to configure this y-axis width without having to touch any of the default Wsurf files.

If you dont want to poke around in the configuration files, the same line works just as well in your own code, given that "$pane" is properly set. The following snippet will change the yaxiswidth of all panes in $widget:

foreach pane [$widget _getPanes] {
$pane configure -yaxiswidth 100
}
