I have been using Wavesurfer (Windows distribution) for sound analysis very succesfully for a couple of years. I have just experienced a weird problem today where Wavesurfer is cutting my recordings off at 8KHz ( a value I specified to look at one sound) for all new sound recordings. It cuts the recording at 8Khz even when the default 22050Hz (or any other value) is specified. Do you have any idea what may be causing this? Is thevalue of the cut-off written somewhere in a file or in the registry?
I am using version 1.5 and 1.5.7

You've probably created a configuration with the spectrogram property "Cut spectrogram at" set to 8000 Hz. Try increasing it.
