Hello I'm a researcher from University of Padua Italy an I'm doing a study on piglets vocalizations when separated from the sow.
I have two problems:
1 while analysing a scream sound very clear and with high pitch I cannot get a continuous analysis of the pitch contour but I get only some bites. Is there a limit in processing higher frequencies in the pitch contour pane (AMDF).
2 Is it possible to export data files in a "scientific and comprehensible" way?
I need numbers parameters to process data and not only graphics or diagrams .

I'm really appreciating your software and I look forward to hearing from you.
All the best
Valentina

The current pitch extractors are meant for voice analysis and they will not work very well once you get out of normal adult pitch ranges. You can try increasing "max pitch value" in Properties | "Pitch contour" a little and use the same value for "plot value bounds" in "Data Plot".

Save data in by pressing the right menu-button and choosing "Save Data File...". This will create a text file, the first column is the pitch value in Hz. Row spacing is 0.01 s as default.
