hi

I am a new user and have just started experimenting with the snack/tcl/tk programs. I am wondering besides FFT analysis. Can i use the snack program to do wavelet transform? What are the libraries functions which will most likely be useful?

I have intention to build a program which will send a binary signal to activate a hardware sound acquiring system. Will snack be able to auto detect that data is coming in from the serial port and start recording the sound data? What are the functions i can use in this case?

Your reply to these issues are very important to me and will be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks a lot in advance!

Snack does not do Wavelet transforms, but you could easily make an interface to some public domain wavelet package written in C.

Snack can't record from the serial port. Tcl probably can read the data though and you could use Snack's data command to insert the sound data into a Snack sound object.
