Hi,

I am having a problem with playing selected sound from a file using either the waveform or the spectrogram window. With the same (.wav) sound file open, if I make a fairly large selection and play it, it is fine. Then, however, if I select a smaller part of the file to play, the program continues to play the larger selection. Other times it sounds as though it is picking up some sort of random sound from the beginning of the sound file and playing it again at the end or possibly introducing some sort of digital echo effects or something.

The first problem with playing sound selection is fairly consistent, whereas the second effect occurs only sometimes. I've noticed the second problem with earlier versions, however, as well as a some fairly inconsistent selected sound playback problems with quality of sound as well.

Also, this is minor (I think), but in the latest version my cursor starts out as a regular vertical arrow but then, once a selection in the file is made, remains a horizontal, double-ended arrow for all selections.

Thanks for any suggestions anyone might have.

Tamra

Thanks for your report! I'll have a look at these matters. The latest Mac versions have been built on Linux and I haven't even tried them on a Mac. The Mac I use is on lone for a database recording project but I'll ask to get it back for some testing.
