Hello,

I'm in the process of rewriting the ASR plugins for WaveSurfer, so that they (I hope) integrate better in the WaveSurfer framework.
As part of this process, I would like to provide recognition results as a transcription format. However, it seems that I cannot add a format, if the plugin filename does not start with transcription_format, though I eval the 'trans' namespace properly.
Changing the plugin filename does the job, but I couldn't find the reason why.

Any clue ?

Regards,
Geoffrey

You've found a bug!

You need to modify your code like this:

namespace eval trans {
variable Info
lappend Info(formats) NewFormat ...

that is, insert the line "variable Info".
Now you can use any name you like for the plug-in. The bug was undetected because of the alphabetical order of the file names. I'll update all trans*.plug files.
