Most of the students taking our phonetics classes come in with limited computer experience. Using WaveSurfer, or any new program, requires hands-on-training.

One thing we were thinking of that would help the students with their term projects was a possible "dump all information" option that would easily save all logable information (Time, Pitch Contour, Transcription, Data Plot, Power Plot, Formant Plot) together in an aligned spreadsheet.

Has anybody already done this, or have any suggestions?

This is a great idea.
By "spread sheet" I assume you mean a tab separated text file?

I'll look into this when I get back from vacation.
