Sten Ternström

Born 1956 in Stockholm, Sweden. Travelled extensively during childhood due to parents' overseas employment. Attended gymnasium (upper secondary school) 1971-74 at Sigtunastiftelsens Humanistiska Läroverk. 1974-75 laboratory practitioner at LAAS, a CNRS lab in Toulouse, France (unsalaried). 1975-76 military service, with voluntary training and subsequent employment as reserve officer in the Signal Corps of the Swedish Army (telecommunications). 1976-82 university studies at the School of Electrical Engineering, KTH, Stockholm. Married in 1984 to Gisela Hök. Two daughters, born in 1992 and 1995. Employed at KTH since 1982. Co-founder, part owner and part-time employee of AB Nyvalla DSP 1995-2000.
