Below is information on some of the languages that I either know or know something about and which have meant something to me personally.
- Latin
Spoken in Italy and the western part of the Roman Empire in Antiquity; also used as a second language ever since.
- Greek
Spoken in Greece since the second millennium B.C.
- Bengali
Spoken mainly in West Bengal (India) and in Bangladesh (more than 171 million native speakers according to the 2005 edition of Ethnologue and c. 210 million including second-language speakers).

Esperanto
Language created by L. Zamenhof in the 1880's.
