David House

David House joined the department in 1998 as associate professor and was appointed full professor of acoustic and phonetic analysis in 2007. Current research activity within the Centre for Speech Technology includes multimodal speech synthesis and prosody generation for spoken dialog systems, audio-visual perception of prosody, and educational applications of speech technology. Other research interests include phonetic variation in spontaneous speech and the perception of tone and intonation. 

Ph.D. in phonetics, Lund University, 1991. Previous affiliations: Department of Linguistics and Phonetics, Lund University (1982-1997), Department of Logopedics and Phoniatrics, Lund University (1992-1994) and Department of Languages, University of Skövde (1997-1998).
