Above all, I am interested in languages and things that are related to languages. I actually think it's fun to learn languages! I have a fundamental interest in how human languages sound, how they are structured, and how they function. These are matters that are dealt with in the various disciplines of linguistics, phonetics and phonology. Professionally, I work as a linguist and phonetician and consequently work with things that I think are fun and worth while. I also have an interest in Classics and "Classical Antiquity", i.e. the languages and cultures of Ancient Greece and Rome (Ancient Greek and Latin).
